A passion for travel resulted in Peter spending his working life as a Coach Tour Operator and Tourist Guide, specialising in off-the-beaten-track destinations. He also frequently arranged car club tours for friends. In retirement, and with more time to enjoy his own Jaguars, it was natural that Peter would continue taking extended drives, through which germinated the idea to employ his extensive knowledge of scenic touring in the production of these two guidebooks.

In July 2024, our new Organiser, Mark, had a chance to catch up with TV’s Chris Barrie (Gordon Brittas from “The Brittas Empire” and Rimmer from “Red Dwarf”). A classic car enthusiast and collector, and a lover of Jags, it seemed fitting to present Chris with copies of Peter’s scenic driving guides.
