Events 2020

3rd October 2020

Every so often we have to accept and endure a wet Jaguar Breakfast Meet.

But that doesn’t deter our members and the drenching we received for our October meet still saw a remarkable seventy two Jaguars on display with the weather entirely secondary to the pursuit of a great day.

With so much on view inside the Museum there’s always an excuse to dry off and this excellent video by ‘Moves Like Jaguar’ illustrates the meet perfectly!

For the Jaguar Breakfast Club the ‘Show Goes On’…

5th September 2020

For our September meet we joined forces with the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust and the XJS Club to stage a huge show that attracted 600 Jaguars including an unprecedented 150 XJS cars. There was entertainment, a live arena and even an ice cream van!

Our huge thanks go to everyone who helped put on our biggest-ever gathering, but it was the attendance of each and every Jaguar that made it such a resounding success.

1st August 2020

The August Jaguar Breakfast Meet saw a huge gathering for our first “scheduled” meet since March. In excess of two hundred cars turned out to form a stunning display beneath impressively threatening skies that thankfully remained benign. We could not have hoped for a better return to form and thank everyone for supporting the event.

12th July 2020

Following changes to regulations for large gatherings we arranged a July Breakfast Meet at very short notice. Despite just three days to prepare around 100 Jaguars attended, assembled in a spacious and attractive display. The weather was glorious and with few other Museum visitors our event was a most relaxed and convivial occasion!

The meet felt like a historic occasion. It was the first major Jaguar gathering in the UK since lockdown was imposed four months previously but was carefully arranged within the cautious freedoms now available to us. The Museum took great care of our safety and breakfast was very well organised.

We are so proud to have been able to stage this event in conjunction with the British Motor Museum. Thank you for supporting our meet and it was great to be back!

6th June 2020

With the country still in the grip of Lockdown, our June Breakfast Meet was a “virtual” day of collective reminiscing to share those golden Jaguar memories that we all have. Our members posted photographs of treasured experiences from their first Jaguar to fantastic locations that they have visited.

The variety was astounding and captured superbly by this ‘Moves Like Jaguar’ video. If you like the video (and you will!) please click the subscribe button and help the channel to grow…

2nd May 2020

Our May Jaguar Breakfast Meet was during the Lockdown period but we overcame this obstacle with a hugely popular “Show & Shine at Home” display featuring photographs of our Jaguars on our facebook page.

Thank you all for entering into the spirit of the competition and keeping our spirits up during this difficult time!

And there were even prizes…with the winner receiving a package of detailing products kindly donated by SNG Barratt.

4th April 2020

Due to travel restrictions imposed by Covid-19 our April Jaguar Breakfast Meet was held as a “Virtual” meet at each and everyone’s home!

We received hundreds of photographs from our members in great spirits across the globe from New Zealand to the USA. These can be viewed on our facebook page and the video below. Thank you all for joining in and bringing a smile into the present crisis.

7th March 2020

An incredible one hundred X100s arrived from all corners of the country for our March gathering, despite the typically chilly late winter temperatures!

To complement the sleek rows of this modern classic a further one hundred Jaguars from 1950s to the present day also decorated the arena fronting the impressive Museum buildings.

1st February 2020

February witnessed another incredible turn out for the Jaguar Breakfast Meet. One hundred and fifty Jaguars enjoyed the winter sunshine creating a spectacular display with many owners travelling hundreds of miles to attend the show. We cannot thank you enough for your support.

We made a fuss of the XK (X150) model this month with a dedicated line up and Jaguar Heritage made a fuss of us, opening their workshop exclusively for our members to take a close look at the maintenance being carried out on the historic C and D-type racers.

4th January 2020

The start of a new year and a new decade saw the Jaguar Breakfast assemble one hundred and fifty magnificent Jaguars for our January meet. It was an incredible sight enjoyed by everyone who attended. We cannot thank you all enough for making our meets so successful.

Despite the winter season we saw cars from 1960s to the present day with Mk2s, XJ Series 1, several XJ-S to a stunning line of colourful F-TYPEs.

Many thanks to ‘Moves Like Jaguar’ for the video below. Please consider subscribing to their YouTube channel; it costs nothing but a click of a button and more subscribers means our meets will reach a wider audience. Thank you.
